Typically the process begins by describing your project in as much detail as you can. Below are items we need to get the ball rolling but feel free to send us any questions you have.
For Shirts we need to know:
- Total Quantity
- Shirt Brand, Style #, or description of type
- Shirt Color(s)
- Size Breakdown (6 S, 6 M, 6 L, etc..)
- Number of colors in the artwork
- Number of print locations (front, back, sleeve, etc..)
Attaching an image of the design will be extremely helpful.
For larger file transfers (>5mb) we prefer http://www.wetransfer.com
Please review these links for helpful information on frequently asked questions, with more FAQ's here.
What are your minimums for screen printing?
For screen printing, our minimum quantities are 12 pieces per screen. Each individual color in your design will require a separate screen, and for printing on dark shirts add 1 screen for an underbase.
Please see the examples below for more information:
1-Color, 1-Sided print = 1 screen, 12 minimum pieces
1-Color Front, 2-Color Back = 3 screens, 36 minimum pieces
1-Color, 1-Sided print on Dark shirts (+1 for underbase) = 2 screens, 24 minimum pieces
3-Color, 1-Sided print on Dark shirts (+1 for underbase) = 4 screens, 48 minimum pieces
If your design has multiple colors and you wanted a low quantity, please see our FAQ on digital direct to garment printing (coming soon), which has a minimum of 12 pieces on both light and dark shirts.
What is the maximum size you can print on shirts?
Our max graphic size for standard screens is 14" x 16" and our max graphic size for oversized screens is 17" x 22".
We do not offer "All-over" printing as it requires specialized equipment to do correctly.
What kind of file do you need for my artwork?
We prefer vector based images whenever possible such as files made in Adobe Illustrator, and whose file extensions are typically .ai, .eps, .svg, or .pdf. These types of graphics are able to be scaled up or down without loss of quality and produce the sharpest films for screenprinting.
When sending us vector artwork please outline or expand all fonts and make sure the graphic is scaled 1:1 at the full size you would like printed on the shirt. CS5 or lower.
Photoshop files such as .psd, and .tiff are also acceptable. We ask them to be at least 300dpi at full print size with all fonts embedded and colors separated on individual layers.
Jpegs and other web images are often of too low a resolution for screen printing but if you're not sure, just send us what you have and we can take a look at it.
